W. B. Gibbs & Sons was established in 1966 by William Bertram Gibbs along with his sons, Eric and Brian. However, our family history can be traced back over many generations, trading under their own names.

Eric’s son, Martin, joined the business in 1988, and his wife, Georgina, joined in 2020. Together they are proud to carry on the family business and provide a very personal and professional service to each family.

W. B. Gibbs & Sons provides a personal service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to Wells and the surrounding areas in Somerset.

We are members of The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) and can also provide Golden Charter Pre-Paid Funeral Plans, to give clients peace of mind about their own funerals in the future.
